To accomplish an Advanced Open Water Diver rating with SSI, you need to have 24 logged dives and complete 4 specialties. We have made it a little easier to achieve your advanced ratings by having a dive-a-long every month to help you gain some logged dives, and Specialties scheduled every month. The great way about this option is you can tailor your advanced open water specialties to the type of diving you think you are going to do. A few examples:

Keep in mind Stress Rescue is one of the favorites, and really helps a divers comfort level. Once you have reached your Advanced Open Water level, you are very close to the Master Diver level, which is 60 logged dives, 4 specialties, and Stress & Rescue.

Enriched Air Nitrox

With the skills taught in this class, Learn how to select the right camera system to meet your needs and what it can do, understand the challenges that underwater photography may offer and how to overcome them. Learn composition and some creative editing skills that can give you those shots to brag about.

Drysuit Diving
How can a drysuit improve your comfort level? Many types of suits and undergarments can be combined to make the perfect fitting suit for you. Learn how to adjust your buoyancy and diving skills to accommodate the warm dry world of drysuit diving. With just a little training you can enjoy diving in colder water as you never have before. Equipment Techniques

Science of Diving
This program provides an in-depth and detailed study of physics, physiology, decompression theory, the aquatic environment and diving equipment. It is required training for most SSI Dive Professional programs, as well as some Extended Range programs.
