About Neptune Divers

At Neptune Divers, we believe diving is better together. Our mission is to build a community of ocean lovers who care about protecting the water we play in. Whether you’re just getting started or planning your next big adventure, you’ll find a welcoming crew ready to dive in with you.

From Pool Repairs to Dive Dreams

Neptune’s story started back in 1979, when George Sanders, a contractor, and Linda Nelson, a chemist, turned a rundown building and pool on 900 East into what is now known as Neptune Divers. They set out to teach friends and family, and in doing so, they created a hub for local divers that’s been going strong for over 40 years.

Even in the early days, Neptune raised the bar — offering personalized training, small classes, and a friendly atmosphere that made everyone feel at home. Many of our current divers are the grandkids of our very first students, which says a lot about the kind of community that’s grown here.

A New Chapter — Women-Owned, Team-Driven

In 2021, after two decades of partnership, Lori Zoun proudly became the sole owner of Neptune Divers. Lori is passionate about diving, conservation, and connection — and she runs the shop as a true team effort, where every instructor and staff member plays a part in keeping Neptune’s friendly, adventurous spirit alive.

Her goal? To make diving accessible, fun, and inclusive for everyone. Under Lori’s leadership, Neptune has become a place where divers meet new friends, plan trips together, and keep the local dive community thriving.

Why We Dive

We love what we do — and it shows. Our team is here to help you fall in love with diving, not just learn the skills. From your first splash in the pool to your next dive trip across the world, we’re with you every step of the way.

At Neptune Divers, we don’t just teach people how to dive.

We create divers. We build friendships. And we share a deep respect for the ocean that connects us all.

Come dive in with us — and be part of the Neptune community.
